A number of students in Manchester are being offered the opportunity to learn more about the world of work via a new scheme from Bupa Health Insurance.
The budding entrepreneurs, with the aid of Bupa Health Insurance volunteers, are being presented with the chance to get their own business ideas off the ground.
Stretford Grammar School in Greater Manchester is the school providing students for this programme, which will teach youngsters a number of business-orientated skills, such as financial management and marketing.
Individual companies created by the scheme will run until May, before the results are reported back to Young Enterprise as part of its search for the next best entrepreneurs.
Commenting on the help offered by Bupa, Jeanette Ashton, head of sixth form at Stretford Grammar School, said: "Without all of the advisors from Bupa, this scheme would be impossible to run.
"The benefits of each group having two advisors experienced in the world of business are an invaluable knowledge resource and we also appreciate their enthusiasm and support."
She added that students are highly motivated and professional as a consequence of the advisors' help.
