New society president 'has a history in finance'

The newly-elected president of York Society of Chartered Accountants brings with him a track record in the world of finance, it has emerged.
Peter Atkinson, from York-based accountancy firm Atkinsons, has a history in business and finance, the York Press reports.
Having had a range of articles published in the technical and finance press, Mr Atkinson has also been a specialist business adviser for a number of years.
Other roles of his have included being a motivational speaker and working to make clear the subject of finance to people who are not experts in the field.
The latter was achieved through his development of The Finance Mix, an interactive CD-ROM which offers information on the world of finance, according to the publication.
