A leading insurance group has created a new role to ensure business claims are handled effectively.
Zurich has confirmed that Neil Fraser is set to be the first incumbent in the position of claims market services manager and he will be heavily involved with creating best practice guidelines for claim procedures and helping firms safeguard business loans.
Mr Fraser, who has formerly worked in the company's commercial direct division, will also be collaborating with brokers and underwriters at the firm on designing claim propositions.
"I am the focal point for claims teams in terms of providing a completely new claims service to support the business when it enters a new sector or if it wants to adapt current processes to changing market conditions," commented Mr Fraser.
Meanwhile, the chief claims officer at Zurich said he hopes that the claims service will enable the insurance group to distinguish itself from the competition.
