Investment fund backs regional businesses

The South Yorkshire Investment Fund (SYIF) organisation has moved to highlight the work it has been doing to help regional businesses secure property purchases aimed at growing their particular enterprise.
A number of companies from South Yorkshire have been able to expand their operations after buying factory space or a new office site with the help of business loans running into hundreds of thousands of pounds, which have been secured through the SYIF.
As examples of the work it has been doing in the region, the SYIF points to the Labfacility company, which loaned £125,000 and moved to a new premises in Dinnington, while Northern Precision, the sheet metal fastening firm, used a £100,000 loan to refurbish its manufacturing centre in Armthorpe.
Clive Downward, investment director of SYIF's small business fund, commented: "We were only too happy to help these businesses – and we want to help even more companies across South Yorkshire."
