A new business development recruit has promised to help companies navigate their way along the "journey ahead".
The Hereford Times reports that manager Andrew Edwards is joining an accountancy and consultancy firm following 25 years at Barclays Bank and he revealed that focus is the key to enabling businesses to fulfill their potential.
On joining Thorne Widgery as a business development specialist, Mr Edwards outlined his approach to clients and how this differs from the standard offerings from accountants.
He said: "Accountants are capable of dealing with historical data and packaging it so that it meets the requirements of the revenue or the bank, but how meaningful is that information to day-to-day running…of the business?"
The Hereford-based business specialist added that he can offer companies a range of initiatives and strategies which will "really help" improve daily procedures.
Stephen Smallwood, managing director at the enterprise, noted that the new recruit will bring a substantial knowledge of business issues to the firm.
