Charity 'ready to help businesses start'
28/03/2007
Funding, in the form of business loans, is available to young entrepreneurs through the Prince's Trust, it has been announced.
Area manager for the Northamptonshire branch of the charity, Tony Round, told the Northampton Chronicle and Echo that the trust has the resources at hand as soon as individuals are ready.
The organisation aims to help 40 youngsters start up their own businesses each year, but this figure could increase if proposals are acceptable, according to Mr Round.
He said: "While we draw the line at supporting ethically questionable ideas, so long as the business is viable we will try to help.
"We were asked if we would help set up a massage parlour by a prisoner at HMP Wellingborough, but the idea of the Three Feathers Massage Parlour wasn't one we could support."
Many of the people who turn to the Prince's Trust for help have been rejected business loans from the bank in the past.
