Bank wins business current account accolade
27/02/2007
The good value range of easy-to-understand current account products offered by Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank is one reason for it being recognised in Business Moneyfacts' annual awards, according to the independent finance guide.
Receiving the best business current account accolade for 2006, Alliance & Leicester has now won the award for five consecutive years.
Moneyfacts' editor of business Lee Tillcock suggests that the bank's consistently good performances in best buy tables and surveys has helped it achieve such recognition.
He also alludes to the bank's nominations for eight different Moneyfacts awards - a figure more than any other lender - as an impressive achievement.
Meanwhile, Steve Jennings, director of business banking at the winning company, said: "Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank is transforming the business banking market by offering better value products, with charging structures that are fair and transparent."
Winning the best business current account is testament to the bank's position as "a credible alternative to the traditional business banks", he added.
