Bank aims to help Polish businesses in the UK
15/03/2007

HSBC bank is aiming to help Polish businesses prosper in the UK following the launch of Britain's first dedicated Polish business unit.

It aims to cater for the growing number of entrepreneurs from Poland who have settled in London by providing dedicated Polish-speaking commercial relationship managers, as well as a variety of other services.

Global co-head of commercial banking at the bank Alan Keir opened the facility at an official event in the west London borough of Ealing.

Mr Keir said: "We're tailoring our commercial services to the diverse needs of companies and communities in the 21st century by offering a dedicated Polish business unit.

"It's a unique development in the banking industry; meeting the specific needs of Polish businesses in Britain who need a bank who can, quite literally, speak their language and make UK banking accessible to them."

As a consequence of the new unit, the Polish business community can grow and prosper in the UK, he added.

Other services provided by the business unit include a connection with HSBC banks in Poland and internet pages in Polish on the bank's website.
