Advice 'can help' with business loan applications
09/05/2007
Appropriate advice from a trusted and well informed source can prove beneficial for people looking to apply for a business loan, according to one expert.
Director of the Institute of Business Consulting (IBC) Lynda Purser suggests that when it comes to finalising a business plan, with a view to applying for financial backing, a good consultant can offer a valuable perspective.
Often for consultants it can be that a relatively new business might be overstretched financially and its bosses need guidance in setting the kind of targets that ultimately brings the greatest rewards for a given enterprise, Ms Purser continued.
She added: "A consultant or advisor should be confident enough to say whether the idea is going to work – and so they can do that initial test.
"This is always a good thing for a bank manager because usually – that is what they are worried about."
